Our Authentication Process
Every item goes through our rigorous 7-step authentication process to ensure authenticity
1
Brand & Model Familiarity
- Understand the specific brand’s history, collections, and typical design features.
- Knowledge of seasonal variations, limited editions, and common counterfeit patterns.
2
Overall Inspection
- First impression of the bag’s shape, structure, and weight.
- Authentic bags often have a certain feel and silhouette that fakes don’t capture.
3
Materials & Craftsmanship
- Evaluate the leather, canvas, suede, or exotic skin.
- Check stitching quality, pattern alignment, edge finishing, and material consistency.
4
Hardware Examination
- Check zippers, clasps, studs, feet, chains, and engraving.
- Authentic hardware is usually weighty, well-crafted, and branded appropriately.
5
Logos & Brand Stamping
- Inspect logos, fonts, spacing, heat stamps, and embossing.
- Compare against known authentic stamps from the same era or model.
6
Serial Numbers, Date Codes, Holograms, and Tags
- Validate any brand-specific identifiers:
- Chanel: Hologram sticker + authenticity card
- Louis Vuitton: Date code + font and placement
- Hermès: Blind stamp + craftsman ID
- Cross-check codes with brand-specific formatting and manufacturing periods.
7
Interior & Packaging Details
- Analyze the lining, pockets, labels, and construction.
- Review authenticity cards, dust bags, receipts, and boxes (if included).
